Lilac

Moray Place, Edinburgh 

As it was sunny all day, I wanted to try to get out for an evening walk. J agreed to join me so we could decompress /rant /catch up. A good walk through the New Town. We could smell the lilacs before we saw them. Having not set out until after 6 pm and walked for well over an hour we thought we should get some food. The first place we tried the kitchen was closed. The second had only one chef, was operating half the menu and had a backlog so expected minimum thirty minutes wait. The third place the card machine was down, but we could cope with that - even if it felt a little strange using cash.
