Kingsday

It’s Kingsday in the Netherlands.
Although this year I mainly focused on the ceremonies of the funeral of the Pope.
I saw it all on TV.
It’s been only 4 months that we stood on the big square and saw and heard Pope Francis standing at his balcony.

For years I’ve been interested in the Vatican, read lots of books about the Vatican, and its history and mysteries.
And now it turns out Bas is interested in all that as well. We watched together.

Therefore the switch to the orange festivities of Kingsday on TV was too big. I skipped all that and went back to work in the afternoon.
After all my chair there had been empty for too long already. Sede Vacante.
