Long-tailed Ducks

A cycle round Shapinsay and a walk around the Ness of Ork. A few more spring arrivals- seven swallow, six sand martins, one or two great skua. The ducks are winter visitors and these were dashing north at a great rate. About 60 went past in a few minutes. They will end up in Iceland or the Baltic to breed.
