Busy Lidl this morning...

First food shopping trip since we came back to France and I decided to get up early, so I could get to Lidl when it opened at 8.30am.
The car park was already a third full when I arrived and it was busier in the shop than usual, then again I normally go shopping on Thursday or Friday morning.

Today is Wednesday, so a lot of parents are usually off because their kids are off school. For primary school kids in France they have the day off. College/lycée students have the afternoon off. Emma will be back later.

Added to which we'll have the first of 3 long weekends in May at the end of this week. A lot of companies give employees the Thursday and Friday off - which is called "un pont" (a bridge). That could be why there were more people around than usual.

Reversing out of my parking space, I had some old fart coming out of their parking space at the same time. They were going forwards, so could see me - I have no rear window so couldn't see them. They seemed overly annoyed about it, so I went forwards to let him out. They really need some direction arrows (and a speed limit) in that car park.
