Red sails
Today’s ‘outing’ is a brief visit to West Shore. I’ve often said that I much prefer this gorgeous beach at low tide as there’s so much more of interest to photograph - and today this is even more evident. I don’t think I’ve ever seen the tide so high, water lapping at the steps of the sea wall. There are small patches of sand where those visiting the beach stake claims, and dog walks are restricted to the path above the beach.
I’m grateful for the rust-red sails of a yacht across the water against the soaring Carneddau that forms my blip today. And it’s obviously a day for red-sailed yachts as another one heads out along the tip of Anglesey(in extras)
There’s another excellent camera club session tonight with the landscape photographer, Charlie Waite. It’s a Zoom presentation in our meeting venue which I feel quite doubtful about, but in essence, there’s little difference between Charlie speaking to us from his hotel (he’s flying out to Tuscany early tomorrow) and having him here in the room as the focus is on his photography - and the influences and philosophy behind it. I must admit, I’ve been very impressed by the club’s programme of speakers this year.
