We left the building two by two

There was more rain today of biblical proportions. This is looking out the window from my desk in a relatively light period. There were times when you could barely see outside. Later in the afternoon when we looked out there was flooding outside and so a call was made to go home. I have lived through previous flooding and while they say don’t drive through flood waters we made a calculated decision. The water came up to about the top of the wheels. Slow and steady and we were through the worst spot. Traffic was as you could imagine but after dropping a colleague home and only encountering one other spot of flooding I made it home safely. I have a swimming pool outside. Fields that have been saturated over the weekend are lakes. More rain to come!
