Malden Manor

Tired legs, this morning, but happily all that was on my agenda for today was meeting my old friend, John, for coffee.

I walked up to Malden Manor where I took this shot for of the station while waiting for the train. The design is by James Rob Scott, once the Chief Architect of Southern Railways, and all of these stations on the Chessington branch line are in the same 1930s concrete style. I love it.

I met John at Chiswick Station and we walked to the park where we had a couple of coffees in the sunshine, and long, leisurely chat. Happily, he also suffers from 'gear acquisition syndrome' so we spent a little time reassuring ourselves that it was a perfectly acceptable pastime :-)
