Friday morning

There has, inevitably, been a lot of upheaval over the last few months, so at the moment bits of routine can be very comforting and grounding. For example, my Friday morning swim at the university. 

I bought coffees for the Minx and myself on the way home, only to find she'd already gone to the office. Ho hum. As I knew she had quite a lot on - currently her default workload, tbh - I decided to work from home. 

And in the evening, Hannah and Charlie came 'round for dinner in the garden, along with Charlie's boyfriend, Matt, whom I felt it was about time I met. (And Charlie no doubt felt it was somewhat overdue!)

Happily, we had a lovely evening.
