Musing of a Lady

Ending on a High

Today has definitely been a lot better than yesterday was. I think I was putting too much pressure on myself and in turn, on Little Man, in regards to the potty training. After talking to a close friend of mine, who has raised three kids and helped one of her daughters raise her grandson, and has some experience in the business of potty training. She said it really helps to be patient and consistent with him.

Since Little Man and I needed to go into Woerden today, we got ready as normal. We had a lovely time getting what we needed. We had some time before our bus was due so we went to the nearby park. I let Little Man stretch his legs and we really enjoyed ourselves as the sun was shining.

We got home and spent the afternoon relaxing. Little Man had a lot of fun in the garden, whilst I sorted the kitchen out, and got dinner going. Towards the end of the afternoon I put Paw Patrol on for Little Man, and after dinner I sat him on his potty and presto. He got his first sticker, as a reward. I'm hoping that the stickers will encourage Little Man to use the potty, so he can keep collecting them.

If you have any suggestions, for Little Man, as a reward for having collected a certain number of stickers, feel free to let me know.

On the sad side of things, my ex-husband's maternal grandfather is on end-of-life care and isn't expected to live long (probably no more than a few days).
