Bench with a view

After Sunday's sun, Monday's cloud. A bit of sunshine, but not the amount forecast. A very warm day though. Partner and I manage a morning walk in milky sunshine. Looking very drab over in Fife from the usual viewpoints. Walking to the wild flower area in the park, which hasn't been prepared this year, I watched a couple of white butterflies floating around. I don't have a photo of any white butterflies, so I thought I might be able to get one as they were fluttering around quite manically. You'd think they would need a rest. An orange tip did rest on a leaf for a few moments, but not long enough for me to capture it. So we gave up and headed home for lunch.

After work, the sun was even more milky. Partner decided to stay home, so I went down to the park on my own. This bench caught my eye, ideally placed for views of the Braid Burn valley and the cherry blossom. There are other smaller benches like this in the park, and they remind me of the Stonehenge scene from 'This Is Spinal Tap', clip from the film is on Youtube here. (Clip not suitable for children, contains some swearing)
