Turnstone

After frustratingly almost had turnstones nibbling my toes the previous morning when I just had my wide angle lens with me. I decided to try going back to the beach with my long lens. Of course that meant that there were a grand total of 2 turnstones. Thankfully they came just close enough to be recognisable with the big lens. I love the patterns in their feathers, I think they were between winter and breeding plumage.
