Isolated rain

It was to be garden group today but the weather was abysmal so our outing was cancelled.  However as the day progressed, the weather in our area improved.  Late this afternoon I spotted this rain cloud hovering over a small area of farmland in the valley below us.
Parts of NZ are being battered by high winds and heavy rain. The winds are so strong in Wellington a Red wind warning has been issued and residents have been advised to stay at home and keep out of the weather expecting trees down and flying debris. Wind gusts are the strongest that have been measured for 10 years. Ferries and planes have been cancelled and some schools closed. .
