Blustery conditions greeted us at Port Motueka this morning, but it was a calm day compared to other parts of NZ.

Further afield wind closed airports, the Cook Strait sailings were cancelled, rivers overflowed and snow fell turning the landscape into a winter wonderland. What a day of stormy weather for so many parts of New Zealand.

Standing on a point of land and looking towards Tasman Bay and a very high tide I like the way this long exposure gives a sense of movement created by the windy conditions.
