Vegan Sushi
This morning I got up at 6 AM when Brian got up to get ready for work because I had to be at the hospital for 7.40 for my MRI scan.
I was quite nervous but they were very friendly and helpful, and put me at ease. The scan took about half an hour. I'd read that it could be uncomfortably hot but there were so many cooling fans that I was actually cold, even with a blanket over my legs. It was noisy, as expected, but not intolerable with earplugs and headphones on. I can see where Techno musicians get their inspiration from now!
Once it was all done I walked up to Tesco for the stuff Morrisons didn't have, and more besides. I decided to get some vegan sushi to try for my lunch.
I'd tried the traditional fishy stuff many years ago and didn't like it at all, probably because I had no idea what I was putting in my mouth, never having seen it before. (It was on a buffet at a quite fancy party.) It looked good but tasted gross!
The vegan version is lush though. I'll definitely get it again! I liked it so much I'm Blipping the photo I took before eating it.
I've been and cast my votes for the local council election and for the new Greater Lincolnshire mayor too.
Now I might go and read my book in the Arboretum for a while, since it's another lovely day
