Summer

Yesterday was hot, today was hotter with 30°C and a cloudless sky.

B and I went for a walk at lunchtime - slightly too late to go hiking in the heat, but she had been out late for a „Tanz in den Mai“ (May dance) last night.

On our way, we met the three donkeys that P is looking after from time to time. They earn their keep by going for walks with people, and it was a family of five who had hired them today.

More impressions from the day in the extra collage. The fungus was bigger than a football - an edible sulfur polypore, I think, but I didn’t try and cook it.

The first poppy has opened in our garden today, and I spotted flowering elder. More signs for the end of spring and the start of summer in nature‘s calendar.
