Pay it forward

I had a satisfying sleep, better than the previous days. Before I got the bus back to Songea I went with Shadrack to a very chilled campsite-cum-bar on Lake Nyasa. It was very relaxing drinking sodas with the very pristine water lapping close by.

Some years ago a friend who was coordinating a project that ended donated me a camera as she didn’t know what else to do with it. It’s still in good condition but I haven’t been using it so I have passed it onto Shadrack so he can improve his birding skills and get some better photos to promote his guiding services. He played around with it and tested it on a nearby hamerkop perched on a rock. Fishermen passed by, organising their overnight catch.

The bus back to Songea was inordinately slow, but I felt content to have had a short and fulfilling trip to the lovely Mbamba Bay.
