Local election

Usually the results in our area are a foregone conclusion but this particular council election appears to be much closer than usual. The candidates opposing Labour have been out in force over the last few weeks. In fact the Lib Dems are bordering on harassment - just in the past week they’ve put four leaflets through the door, two of them personalised with out names on, and they’ve appeared at the door twice today to make sure we’re going to vote!! They’re certainly very determined and committed to the cause!

Strolled up to the village hall after tea, with Anna as usual. She’s always come with me to vote, and next time she’ll be able to cast her own vote, unless something drastic happens in the seven months before she turns 18! Jack also got to vote in person today for the first time. He was out of the country in the summer so I had to vote as his proxy that time around.
