The migrants are coming , the migrants are coming!

Apparently an estimated million birds passed over NY last night - and we got one !!! A juvenile ( doesn't have the full black head yet ) Baltimore oriole! 
The first one this year, so I will have to start looking for warblers , today's bird showed they were all over the Ithaca area. And darn it wouldn't you know I don/t have time to go look  because we'll be in California for two weeks from sunday forwards. and I still have some gardening chores , housecleaning and a home visit from an NP sent from my insurance company to do before I go . ( I don't look forwards to the home visits because my cynical mind says they only do them because they get reimbursed through Medicare for them . They really keep bugging you till you say yes too. The first time I said no thanks don't need it  have a provider I respect and see regularly  and besides I am a retired provider I think I can tell when something is wrong with me . They just called again and again till I gave up) And hopefully can get in  a trip to the gym too. And packing . And a review of possibly birds to see.  And look for birding opportunities where we are going. and and and .... I don't think I will be sleeping for the next two days....
