Carol: Rosie & Mr. Fun

2025 Friday — Date Night

Well, it was Date Night after first stopping at the periodontist office for a quick check-up with one of the hygienists. Then we headed to a music store to discover if they had accordions for sale, but we were not successful in finding accordions and even told we were the wrong ethnicity; Hispanic people are those who are keeping accordion music alive. I think that may be true in California, but I think there are lots of non-Hispanic people all over the world playing accordion. I’m looking for a student size accordion.

After the music store we headed to “Nate’s in Marsh” for dinner, but first we needed to feed the two pups. Rain was falling so we decided to do something we’ve never done and that was feed the pups in the backseat of the car, which is their area of the car. The pups were a little surprised, but they were hungry, so they ate. What an adventure leading toward a date.

Finally we got inside the restaurant. The placed was packed. While standing in the very small entrance, we were told that the San Luis Obispo International Film Festival had just begun today.

And then believe it or not, there was a bride, yes dressed in white, standing right behind me. Mr. Fun & I were escorted to a table for two and what followed was exquisite.

This was a lovely way to enjoy the final Friday of April.

From California’s Central Coast,
Rosie (& Mr. Fun), aka Carol
and Chloe & Mitzi too!
