Bloody
I went to see Titus Andronicus at the RSC, drawn by Simon Russell Beale in the title role. My expectations were low as it’s not one of Shakespeare’s best efforts! However, it was excellent. There was a lot of blood but it was done very creatively, splash guards around the edges were essential and those in the front rows were given additional protection. My friend and I both enjoyed it and even laughed during the final multiple death scene which involved hosepipes!
