Rape seed fields

The countryside is looking positively bucolic at present; everything is lush with the bright lime yellow of the rapeseed bringing a splash of colour.
Yesterday was the hottest 1st May ever recorded in this country.  At 28° not a welcome sign of global warming.  I note that the room thermometer reads 24° at 07:04 whilst l type this - l am off for a shower.
