Beetles and Blossom

I went up on the common this morning to see the May Blossom on the Hawthorn trees (See extra). A few tees were in flower but some just had masses of white buds. It looks as though it will be a good year but it probably needs a few more days or maybe a week to see all the trees laden with blossom.
I did though see this beetle in a wooded area. A quick search seems to indicate it is a dor beetle, a species of earth-boring dung beetle - if you really wanted to know!
