Sometimes I just yearn for good old British food. Although the island food offerings are delicious, there's nothing like the nostalgia value of freshly-caught cod in beer batter with hand-cut chips made from real potatoes and accompanied by mushy peas. This was well worth the travel across the island to GiGi's chippy diner in Ciudadella, and as good as any I've had back in Blighty.
