Wild Garlic and Bluebells
Today I travelled to Exmoor for the start of a Watercolour Painting holiday. I didn't need to be at the hotel for the start of the holiday until early evening so figured I would find a nice National Trust property with gardens and cafe for a gentle day out after yesterday's exertions. Dunster Castle and Water Mill near Minehead seemed to fit the bill nicely. I should have read the write-up more thoroughly as it turned out that this lavish country home sits on a high hill with terraced gardens and steps ... lots of steps. My poor aching legs!
Still I had a great visit starting at the water mill (with the mandatory coffee break) before heading up to the castle itself via the water gardens accompanied by the scent of wild garlic interspersed with the last of the bluebells to give my entry for today's Flower Friday Challenge.
