One daze at a time...

Ta, Tara!

An outing to the National Concert Hall.
Not just to keep up with the latest trends in dressed-up-grannies outfits but to catch a superb performance by the simply stunning mezzo soprano Tara Erraught.
Her first aria, Mozart's 'Come Scoglio' (Così fan tutte) floored me. Compared with the superb Whyte Hall in the RIAM, I find that the NCH lacks in immediacy. It could also be to do with my rapidly deteriorating hearing. It felt as if the symphonic orchestra were playing behind a sound-dampening curtain.
But not when Ms Erraught started singing. Wow. What powerful and expressive voice. What stage presence.
A memorable concert.
Thank you Cordula.
