Busiest unemployed person
I meant to go to a protest yesterday at the building USAID used to be in but was so busy with the business that I couldn’t.

And thank goodness for the business because the job market here is toast. Toast.
Someone reached out to me this morning. I’ve known her for decades. We bonded because we had gone to the same high school in the same little town in Missouri and she went to college in the town I went to junior high. In college her dorm was near a power plant so we used to joke that she would have green babies.
She managed to get through a second interview at a place before they cancelled the job.
I have asked four people to join the company - all with no compensation - and they’ve all jumped at it happily - I think because we have nothing else to give us hope.
We had a business meeting today. There is an opportunity we can’t bid on because the client wants three years of audited income statement. We asked a bigger, older company to bid on it and pretty please include us. They are going to bid on it and include us. I think they have a perfectly reasonable chance of winning. The person leading the meeting was actually on vacation. She took an hour out of her evening and her vacation to lead this meeting.
Ukraine has six more of its children back. Two were with their family, stuck under occupation. The younger child couldn’t get access to medical care.

It helps gather information from space? It was created in the 1970s to intercept satellite signals from space and listen to messages between military bases around the world.
