Light and Shade…..

A favourite viewpoint of mine. Looking west along a creek which divides two vineyards. The vines in the vineyard on the right have been pruned already. That seems very early to me. There was a frost this morning. The first of the year. I took Ruby for a walk in the frost beside the RSA Olive Grove and Taylor River. She loved being off leash for part of the walk. We stopped during the drive home to photograph the view. There was still frost in the shade. A clear, blue, cloudless sky. It stayed cool all day. I was surprised that the washing got dry outdoors . . I’ve been lighting the wood burner fire during the evenings. A bonus is that the unit is a “ Wetback” and heats the hot water system…. Very rapidly too!
