View up the Kyle Of Sutherland with the River Carron merging with it from the left, as seen from the bridge at Bonar Bridge. A bit gloomy, as it was.
Another trip with shopping for the folks. Unusually, Mum didn't come to the door when I arrived. So I went around the back, where I spied her snoozing in the sun lounge. She soon awoke, and from the struggle to get out of her chair, she was obviously in a lot of pain. Transpires that she'd fallen from a "step ladder", though much later we found out it was the third/top step of an even less safe step stool - with nothing whatsoever to hang on to whilst she, the 93 year old(!), was up there. She hadn't broken anything but hurt her lower back and coccyx/tailbone area.
"What were you doing up a stepladder Mum?"
"Trying to kill a moth."
She's always had a thing about moths, and I wasn't phoned about the fall. She wouldn't have wanted to bother anyone. Issued pain killers, as I always carry some lest my back gives me bother, and notified the siblings, who organised medical visits. She'd a very sore back today, and was feeling sorry for herself, so soon went to bed.
