How much?
Despite my meeting not starting till 10am, I decided to wake up at normal time and have an early breakfast. So, that is what I did.
Putting a damp cloth on my foot seems to have helped. I'm walking a bit better, but still not comfortable.
I was at a lean practitioners event today. It was ok nothing exciting. Some good discussions with people on the table. One conversation was about external consultants being brought into this public agency and the cost is quite eye watering.
I checked that my train was running on time, only to discover that it had been cancelled. Cross Country Trains are a liability. I quickly bought a new ticket to an earlier train, as the last presentation was a bit dull I thought I'd head for the exit quick. My exit was so quick, I left my water bottle on the table. Gutted!
The train was delayed and I barely had time to make my connection at Bristol Parkway. Every journey with Cross Country Trains means you're living on the edge.
Got home and was glad to get back into my own bed.
Today I am thankful for:
1. The foot being a little better
2. Good discussions and new connections
