A day out

Today I participated in my other hobby, amateur radio!  Operating from the site of a WW2 listening station, which continued to operate up until 1978, and played a significant role in signal intelligence.  The site is now a gated up market apartment compound, but the residents have a keen awareness of the significance of the site.  In keeping with its war time use all transmissions were made using morse code and contacts made with stations in England, Scotland, Sweden, Germany, Czech Rep and Russia.
