FIRST OF THE SEASON

It's the first damselfly I've seen this year, a Large Red, male. I spotted it along my favourite walk at - or rather, just outside - RSPB Saltholme this afternoon (after returning one of the shirts I bought B yesterday because it wasn't colourful enough! That's a first, too.).

We had a visit from the previous-owners-but-one of our house this morning. B wanted to ask them about various bits of electrical work that had been done in the outbuilding that houses his studio. There are all sorts of old security system sensors and other mysterious boxes and wires and he's getting interference with some of his guitars and amps which he's been trying to diagnose and track down ever since we've been here. I'd found who I thought were the previous owners on FB and sent a polite message with phone number asking if they wouldn't mind having a conversation with B about it, but heard nothing back, but then there they were on the doorstep this morning apologising because she'd accidentally deleted the message including the phone number. They were really pleasant and helpful, and he suggested various things and helped B work through different ideas, but the problem still remains unfortunately. It was good to meet them though, and find out a bit more about the life story of the house.
