Diseworth Umbrella Festival

Hard on the heels of their success at Southwell Minster yesterday, Charnwood Voices were to sing again today at St Michael and All Angels at Diseworth this afternoon and this time I could join them.

Gail very kindly ferried me to Diseworth leaving the car available for Len to go to tennis.

It was an umbrella festival coinciding with VE Day weekend. This display was at the entrance to the church reinforcing the effort the village makes to be eco friendly, although so close to East Midlands Airport. You can see the control tower from the church.

Our singing was OK but not perfect. Afterwards, several members stayed behind to enjoy tea and cake. Extra.
