Quite a stretch!

A long tongue is a great advantage when you want a leaf to eat. There are notices tied to the fences with do's and don'ts for cattle feeding ..... they DO eat grass and they DON'T eat leaves. I guess this wee calf can't read!!

The calves were right up at the fence today and as you can imagine they drew quite a crowd. They are almost tame now and are quite happy to have their heads scratched and take grass from your hand.
