Summer Fruits

Both the blueberries and the blackcurrants are in flower now. Looking like a good crop on both, fingers crossed they continue to do well.
Had a reasonable night with our full house last night, I was wide awake (ahead of the crowd) by 7.15 this morning.
My main tasks were getting Isobel and Eilidh to gymnastics then dance for I and to football for E. They were both busy from 9am till 1.
I met our other church warden at 2pm to go over the checklist I drafted last week. I knew the best way to start some discussion was to do something controversial and it worked!
Next stop was the Rectory where the fitter and I hung some curtain rails and a pair of curtains. He should be finished this week and then just the last few hours of paintwork are all that need to be done before the final clean. Just in time. Applications for the post close on Monday, presumably at midnight as it doesn't say otherwise.
I'm going to try to find someone braver than I to cut a pair of curtains up the middle of each curtain then hem them that making two pairs of narrower curtains out of the pair I have! Joy!
