Ceremony

Today, we had a small ceremony in the garden of remembrance next to the church Julian's mum attended to scatter Julian's parents' ashes. It was led by the minister, who clearly knew Julian's mum very well, and a close friend of hers came too - a Scot who happened to live for a long time in Penicuik, where we live. 
After that, we went on a trip down memory lane for Julian - stopping outside the house where he used to live, then on to Macclesfield, where he went to school.
Finally, we had a good meal in the beer garden of a pub before going back to the hotel.
