Flowers in a Square
Flower in a Square or Granny Flower Square is actually the name of a crochet pattern! First you make a circle and then you square it off to create the flower shape and a contrasting border! Then you join them all up to make a cushion cover or a throw! As you see, I made, and joined, twelve already and I will add another row today to make 16 joined squares. This will be the central part of a couch throw.
The other squares, or rectangles are of pretty wild flowers growing on green patches in my neighbourhood. I even saw bluebells!
When I was on my computer this morning, Honey jumped on my lap and then on the computer table, sending papers sliding to the floor. First she played with a pencil and then she settled in for a snooze! Those papers under that furry girl will need re-sorting!
This collage represents what my weekend is made of: walks, crochet and kitty love. Paperwork still to do and ironing with something on TV later this evening. Enjoy your Sunday!
