Popular plant

This ceanothus (I think that’s what it is, however, happy to be corrected), is so very popular with all sorts of bees including this one, an Andrena Scotica (the wonders of AI), which was great to see.

Andrena scotica, the chocolate mining bee or hawthorn bee, is a species of mining bee from the family Andrenidae. It occurs in western Europe and is one of the most frequently encountered mining bees found in Great Britain, where it had been previously misidentified as Andrena carantonica.

It cannot be overstated how important bees are to our environment and we must do everything to protect them.

We’ve had a nice morning meeting our friend Murdo for brunch at Lido. Now back home, with Martin having a podcast this afternoon, while I’m going to spend some time gardening.

I hope your having an enjoyable Sunday too.m
