OPEN AIR…

…and boy was it chilly!!!

After a day of DIY we went to Chartwell (the home of Winston Churchill) for an open air cinema experience. To celebrate VE Day we watched Operation Mincemeat under the stars.

They had a food and drink trailers. So a tasty burger and chips with Pimms it was!!

I’m so glad The Rev persuaded me to take a coat!!! In the day it was 20 degrees but in the evening it was 9 and windy!!!! They had trouble getting the screen up and we had a hiccup halfway through when the screen collapsed in the wind.
But we were warm enough with pillows, blankets and hoodies!!!

It was nice to be sitting in Churchill’s garden whilst watching him on screen.

We got home past midnight.
