Sunday: Books
“May the 4th …” - https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Star_Wars_Day
Another very cold morning, our weather station displayed 8°C, but it felt freezing outside :-(
MrD and I had breakfast then coffee and it was almost 11am by the time we ventured outside. It had warmed up and felt quite pleasant if you were wrapped up and not directly in the wind.
My gardening jobs today was sorting flowering plants which could be planted out either side of my bronze fennel growing behind the garage. These were some of the plants: Iris sibirica, Alchemilla mollis, Feverfew, Borage, Lambs lettuce in flower, Calendula, St. John’s Wort (hypericum) - nothing fancy here, just old faithfuls who survive on neglect, put on a good show, food for pollinators and self seed everywhere :-))
“Shadows in the Moonlight” is the book I’ve been reading for the last few days and it’s a very good story with nice characters and a lot of mysteries, middle book one of the charity shop purchases and the third book is the one I’ve started this afternoon, I need an interesting distraction from reality …!
ADDED LATER: watched “Nine to Five” on iPlayer
