My dad passed away peacefully  in his sleep early this morning.

The past four months have been difficult. He went into hospital early January for some check ups and never came home. He hadn't been keeping his diabetes under control and his glucose levels were all over the place, although this issue was resolved he went into a steep decline, stopped eating, lost weight and eventually mobility.

11 days ago we were advised he had a week left.

We are all devastated but at the same time relieved it is over and he suffered no pain. 

So it goes.
