Hands Up…

… All those who forgot they had made a Christmas cake at the back end of last year.

We had lunch today and afterwards, over the crossword, fancied ‘a little something sweet’ but the cupboard was bare. I had a niggling feeling that there was a little ‘niceness’, somewhere. So at the back of a cupboard I found and unwrapped the Christmas cake, expecting mould at the very least but no!
The fragrance was definitely good cake.
I hadn’t got round to marzipan and icing, but in May it hardly matters! Who needs an icing Santa anyway?
