The Garden
Much cooler today, so we embarked on a longer walk up to the highest part of the town & the Jardin de Wiltz, then out through the forest and back via the Château - just over 12Km altogether. The garden was fascinating - it had been developed in the 1980s in the grounds of a former brewery and had been very cleverly landscaped into the hillside - lots of local slate & other stones, metal, paths, ponds, water channels, meadows, hedges, etc. Some formal trees & plantings, lots of wild flowers & ferns. The extras show some of the metal trays with stonecrops, etc, on top and more ferns in the shade underneath, plus one of the wildflower patches along an old stone path.
