On the village green.

We set off  after breakfast to take Stanley for a little walk it turned out to be over 5 miles, we followed the lane then across a few fields until we reached the river and into the next village where we had to sample the ale at the local hostelry. We then retraced our steps along a bridal path past a stud farm where we got chased by a couple of barking dogs finally arriving back at the cottage around 3 o’clock.
7 o’clock we were all asleep.
