Beeston Marina

Up reasonably early, breakfast then time to get on the road for the last of this weekends gigs.

A drive to Nottingham area, a lovely location right on the banks of the River Trent. Had the weather held C would have been performing outside, but we had showers & a stiff breeze. The venue didn’t have a “covered” area so it was inside the bar area for us & most of the customers to…… a nippy 13c today ;-)

I popped out to look along the riverbank whilst C was setting up, a lovely sight and soon got my blip.

We had an enjoyable gig, with a lively crowd. C did himself proud, his voice lasted, it’s tough as a solo performer doing back to back gigs with no back up :-)

We had a bite to eat afterwards then drive home. Stopped off for milk as we’d run out…… we were at the self check out when C dropped our 4pts of milk! The plastic bottom just shattered, a white tidal wave of milk went mostly over me up to the top of my thighs, you can imagine how my jeans looked lol……. :-0

The poor lad who was working tonight had a right ol mess to clean up…..we did offer to help but he said it was ok :-/

More laundry tomorrow lol
