Hosta leaves.....
....forming shades of ochre, from yellow to deep orange or brown with an added touch of silver, as they gently fade away.
Lovely to wander through my garden, there's been many changes as autumn mingles with the onslaught of winter. Many green leaves are now yellow, red, rust or brown. Those plants which thrive on warm temps in shade are now turning to mush after a few light frosts and dewy mornings. Light flickers through the garden with each leaf having a turn to be in the limelight as it's sun kissed.
Birds are frequently visiting the bird baths, blackbirds, thrush, sparrows, fantails and silver eyes, while the call of bellbirds and grey warblers are high in the trees. Wonder if the bellbirds will come down and feed on the flowering grevillea this year, hope so! You'll hear my contented sigh world wide haha
April was a busy month for us, we were mostly away having fun - Hobart, Melbourne and then Kaikoura in New Zealand. Was lovely catching up with family as well, a month to remember.
Happy Monday in May, sadly it's been a while since I was here, keep well everyone :)
