DougsJB’s birthday

A wonderful day.

School run (not many of these left) and then Together Bible study. There were only 3 of us but it was a really good hour. All 3 of us came back to ours as one lady hadn’t seen our house. And then another friend dropped in.

3 of us then went over to Myddleton House. They’re both nuts about flowers so I think I might learn a bit from them. We had a lunch over there and then wandered around the gardens. I saw a huge grass snake which was mega exciting.

I caught a lift up to the garden centre, bought a couple of little rockery plants, walked back and set to work planting those and other purchases in the garden. A wonderful breather. I need another half day soon purely to tackle the brambles and little trees popping up everywhere.

We have a carpenter here too. He’s building a larder cupboard and it looks amazing. He’ll finish it off tomorrow. He’s a nephew of friends from church and he seems to have a waiting list of others from church too. We can see why. He’s very clever.

Popped in, with MM and Elbows, to see DougsJB whose birthday it is today. He’s 26. PuddleDuck had, as he had wished, produced a pile of scrumptious cookies instead of a cake. My word, they were lovely. We left them to get ready to go out and headed back.
