Chelaris

We found out about this boat about a year ago but this is the first time we have been up here at the right time.
The fishing boat 'Chelaris' lands its catch every 10 days or so and they sell it on the quayside in Maryport.
We arrived 45 minutes early which was just as well as there was already a queue building up.   We were quite near the front by the time the sale started.   
The prices are amazing.  We bought some Turbot from a farm shop near home last week which was £89 a kilo.   Today it was £15 here!.   
We bought a Turbot,  two Dover Sole and two Skate wings for a total of £25.  
We will have the Sole this evening and freeze the rest to take home.
PS a second extra shows the delicious Dover Sole served up.   Delicious!
