Ducks& Geese

The lodge is adjacent to the water so we are greeted by a duck or goose at every turn, there is even one sitting on a nest adjacent to the car park space, she often hisses at us when we walk by.
We have been woken each morning at 5am by numerous geese honking at each other.
This morning I decided to get up at 6am & took my camera along the river to the canal, the sun was burning through the swirling mist, it was beautiful & I was the only person around to enjoy it.
There are two pairs of Canada geese with goslings on the riverbank, they are protective of the young but didn’t mind me photographing them from a few yards away.
We walked the local footpaths & chilled today, it was too hot for a thing more energetic.
