Irises

It seems to be a good year for irises and there are any number of the ubiquitous purple ones around. However, I noticed these white ones have come into flower in our communal driveway. There are pretty. I spent the whole morning installing four banister rails down our stone stairs where the electrician fell. The job was going very well until I had to drill the last two holes. None of my masonry drills would penetrate the concrete and then the bits got stuck in the drill. In short 95% of the job took me an hour and 5% of the job took me two hours. That is why I dislike DIY! In the afternoon I went down to paint with the art group and it was good to see that our friend Annie is back having spent the winter down in Béziers.
