Flowers on the harbour wall

I am always amazed that flowers can grow, apparently from nothing, on the sides of walls. These never get any water as the tide doesn’t come up that far. They must be absorbing it from damp air! The colour of the harbour water is often this deep green, which is surprising because at low tide you can see the bottom and it’s just grey/brown mud!.
